In case you missed the Iowa – Michigan State game on Saturday.

Iowa is 8-0 for the first time in school history. They are ranked 4th on the BCS standings. Go Hawkeyes! Right Steve?

As a bonus Iowa State beats Nebraska 9-7.  The first time since 1977 they beat the Cornhuskers in Lincoln.  Yes, a proud day for Iowans.

Looking down. Kicking some dirt on the ground…

(I’ve got to think of somthing clever to say…)

Well, the Lions (No, that will never work).

Um, it was a close (Naa, that’s weak).

(People are staring. Think of somthing quick!)

The Tigers were this (It’s never good to bring up a team that chokes)

    (I got it!)

    Let’s Go Red Wings!

@steve, Hope that goes well for you :)

Never met a more arrogant bunch of fans than Cornhuskers. Make Notre Dame fans look downright humble.
    Go, Hawks!

@Adam, I love seeing Nebraska get beat as well. You know what is really sad though. Nebraska had eight turnovers and Iowa State could only score 9 points. No team that gives up the ball that much should even be in the game, let alone in position to still win it at the end.

This is the first I’d seen of the highlights from that game. Wow. I’m not a Hawkeye fan but I love to see them kick tail like this. Especially when Iowa State is having a good year too. Makes Iowa proud.

@Eric Goranson, You’re not a Hawkeye fan? Oh man I need to convert you! It was a great game. I watched the ISU game, I wouldn’t classify them having a “great” year yet… Nebraska pretty much handed that game to them. I mean they had 8 turnovers yet ISU only scored 9 points. That doesn’t quite compute.

They played good defense, the offense still needs much, much improvement.

@Shane Vander Hart, Can’t argue with you. I’m hopeful Iowa State will continue to improve. Their offense does need to step it up… a lot…

Never been a fan of much that comes out of Johnson County. :)

@Eric Goranson, Hawkeye Sports is about the only thing I like coming from Johnson County.

          Thumbs down on anything political.
