imageThe Republican Party of Iowa announced today that Donald Trump will headline their annual Lincoln Dinner on Friday, June 10th in Des Moines.  They said it will be his first visit to Iowa this caucus season.

Party Chairman Matt Strawn noted how Trump at CPAC caught the eye of many political observers nationally and here in Iowa (He garnered 9% in the last poll done of likely Caucus goers).  Strawn said because of this they invited him to introduce himself to Iowa Republicans.  Strawn said, “We are excited to have Mr. Trump share his vision for a better America through his experiences as an individual who has made a career as an entrepreneur and job creator.”

A couple of thoughts – I wonder how well he is going to play in Iowa since his first planned visit is June?  I’m also curious how he’ll jive with social conservatives?  I know very little about where he stands on a plethora of issues.

Hopefully more light will be shed on The Donald before he sets foot in Iowa in June.
