Obama Releases Long-Form Birth Certificate

For those who doubted yesterday’s post and the certificate of live birth that has already been released, the White House this morning released his long form birth certificate which you can see below:

They also released the correspondence they have had with the State of Hawaii Department of Health.  This shouldn’t have taken them so long, and should have been done during the campaign.  I fault the Obama and the mainstream media because they could have ended this a long time ago.  Obama should have released it, and the media should have forced him to do it.  So can we put this controversy to rest? There are many things about this administration and its policies, but whether or not President Obama is a natural born citizen shouldn’t be among them.

    It was sad to see him capitulate to the birthers. Doubt that they will really be satisfied with this and will still talk about him like he was really born in Kenya.

      Well when only 38% in a recent poll are positive he was born here he needed to do something. It’s his fault really, they should have done this during the campaign… they’re the ones who let this fester. Some believe they did it intentionally… another conspiracy ;) .

        There was plenty of information shared – I had no agenda so I simply believed the documents that were presented. The real issue is why people chose to believe the lie – and to be sure it was a lie that many believed and then promulgated. I found the innuendo with which people spread the lie to be spineless. Interesting how people are now blaming the victim instead of the liars. Sad that liars and gossips like Trump (smart as he says he is) feel so good about themselves and are in no way repentant about the way that they smeared the president.

    First off, this new release doesn’t “prove” anything. There plenty of ways to electronically doctor documents.

    Am I a birther? Actually, no. I believe that if Obama weren’t a citizen, Hillary would have found a way to expose it, without leaving any fingerprints. However, I do think he is hiding something potentially embarrassing, though I’m not sure exactly what. As for why he didn’t release the document earlier, what was in it for him? As long as his opponents were making themselves look foolish, he had no good reason to release it. But now that the issue was affecting his approval rating, he had to do something.

    Do I think this new document is a forgery? Not necessarily. But at the same time, I’m not taking it hook, line, and sinker either.

    I do think Trump deserves to be commended for bringing this issue to a head. And I think we should pray that if there is anything else hidden about this situation, that God will bring it to light. Having said that, I also agree that Republicans would be better off focusing on other issues. Huckabee and Romney certainly aren’t hurting themselves by refusing to give attention to the matter IMO.

    I’m just curious, but did you or anyone else demand to see the long-form birth certificates of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, etc., etc? Or did you just take their word that they were born in the U.S. I mean, who really knows for sure. And you want to blame Obama and the so-called mainstream media? How about casting a little blame on the birthers? What a bunch of BS this story has been.

      Matt, please remember that it was the Hillary Clinton campaign that started all these birth certificate rumors. Also Bushs, Reagans, and Carters grandmother didn’t claim they were there in Africa when they
      were born. So I guess Obama’s grandmother must be confused!

        Hillary’s campaign may have started it, but that doesn’t excuse Republicans for carrying on about it. As for the story about Obama’s grandmother, that’s a bunch of crap. What’s going on here is that the typical birther can’t accept the fact that a black guy with a funny name was elected President. So instead of simply arguing against his policies, they are determined to de-legitimize him as a person. It’s discriminatory, plain and simple.
