Iowa Energy Hire Young

October 8, 2011 By Chuck Utech

The Iowa Energy of the NBA Developmental League have gone with the youth movement announcing the hiring of Kevin Young. Young comes from the Utah affiliate and replaces Nick Nurse who took a position with Rio grande Valley.

In a meet and greet earlier this week at the Cub Club in Des Moines, Young said he envisions the Energy playing a lot of pick and roll offense and up tempo style. He plans to follow the style of Ex-Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan.

The defending champion Iowa Energy begin their 2011-12 season December 3.
