Iowa Secretary of State Discusses Sanctity of Life

Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz had the opportunity to talk about something other than voter ID when he had to fill in for an ailing Rick Santorum at the John Paul II Medical Research Institute luncheon yesterday.  Santorum was hospitalized while visiting his son at The Citadel in South Carolina from dehydration and a gastrointestinal illness.

Schultz who has five children and a sixth who passed away discussed how he has been personally impacted by the issue as he related it to the ethical stem cell research being done by the Institute that respects life.

You can watch a video of his remarks below:

The luncheon honored the founder and chairman emeritus of Casey’s General Stores, Don Lamberti, who gave a matching grant to the Institute for those who donate.
