(Salt Lake City, UT) —Today, Senator Mike Lee of Utah endorsed Matt Schultz for Congress in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Matt will represent the people’s interest, not the Washington special interests.  He is a strong constitutional conservative who understands and respects the proper role of the federal government.  And he has committed to fighting against the Washington status quo and push for a positive, forward-moving, conservative reform agenda.” Lee said.

Schultz faces a convention tomorrow along with 5 other candidates.  He has received the endorsements of Tea Party Express, Senate Conservatives Fund, and FreedomWorks.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Senator Mike Lee, he is a proven constitutional conservative and a great leader in the United States Senate,” said Schultz. “I look forward to the opportunity to fight for conservative values with him in Washington DC.”

Senator Lee also stated, “Matt is a standout among a new generation of conservative leaders and I am proud to endorse him.  As Iowa Secretary of State he fought to protect our democracy and the integrity of our elections.”
