We put so much stock in politics that we often lose the forest through the trees.  The point of being salt and light in the midst of a culture that is becoming more hostile to people of faith is being a witness for Jesus.  Our first and primary concern should be the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we through our words and actions do not glorify Jesus then we are missing the mark and putting up barriers to the Gospel.  When we say we hate the sin, but love the sinner make sure you are actually loving the sinner.  Far too often that is an empty phrase used to justify being unkind.

This is Shane Vander Hart of Caffeinated Thoughts Radio with your Caffeinated Thought of the Day.
