CNN Stoops to New Low

They call the following report journalism?  It sounds more like editorializing to me.  Not to mention they should leave the children of the candidates alone.  Way to try to capitalize on Bristol Palin and her boyfriend’s mistake by turning to talking points for comprehensive sex education groups.  Not only that brining up the ridiculous rumors mentioned on the Daily Kos and by Andrew Sullivan.

Here’s the sleazy report:

Here’s Bill Bennett reaming CNN over this report:

  • Talk about a low blow! That’s just plain unprofessional IMO.

  • Let’s follow this logic. If the daughter of a pro-sex-ed governor gets pregnant, that means contraceptives don’t work and we should switch to abstinence programs? Of course I’m sure that’s NEVER happened before.
It never ceases to amaze me the depths to which some will stoop. Bennett is right on target here.

  • @ Isaiah – I agree.
@ Nephos – so right, I like what Bennett said, “when abstinence is tried it works every time.” The problem isn’t that it doesn’t work it is that is isn’t tried, and comprehensive sex ed teaches kids they are a bunch of minks, that they shouldn’t exercise self-control – they’ll say, “abstinence is the best way, but since we know you are going to do it anyway here are some condoms.”
