Leave it up to you to totally take a bible passage out of context and twist it's meaning.
Again, as I've said numerous times regarding this topic. Charitable giving and taxes are not the same thing.

I couldn't agree more…I tithe 10% of all my earnings to the church. When the goberment starts taking more money out of my wallet, it will be difficult to continue to be charitable. And what better mechanism than Christian organizations (not the goberment) with distributing my contributions.
Amen, taxes are not charity. Hurricane Katrina should have shown us that NGOs & FBOs are more effective in meeting needs.
Such a simple concept. How you can have seemingly intelligent people like Obama fail to comprehend this basic principle is beyond me. Do they think it is an accident that the United States is so far ahead of all the other economies in the world? Yes, socialist countries can survive, but they will never prosper as the US has.
It seems like a lot of intelligent people lack common sense.

Amen! It is just human nature to envy that which you cannot understand how to get for yourself hence the need for the wisdom of such doctrines as The Ten Commandments. The poor will always be with us but the lazy should not be honored.

The Idea of charity is to give from free will. It isn't “charity” when someone forces you to give someone who just chooses not to work for themselves.
