I don’t hate Facebook.  I find it a useful tool.  There are aspects of this humorous video below that I can resonate with though.

HT: Lofi Tribe

By the way, feel free to add me as a friend on Facebook, just don’t send a bunch of application requests.

Update: Thanks for linking here Brian

And so did Jeff Noble, and I can resonate with his reasons for liking Facebook.  I too have caught up with many friends from high school, college, and former youth group students.  It has also been a great networking tool.  I’m glad you enjoyed the video Jeff.  Isn’t great that people produce videos like these so we don’t have to?

  1. Carl says:

No Facebook application requests. What about saving the rain forest? What about those cute little buttons that have funny sayings, what about finding out how you rank in BFF (Best Friend Friendlieness) among your friends? What are you a curmudgeon? (lol, I really hope you know I am kidding)

If you go into your settings on facebook you can disable all applications being sent to you. The person sending it will not know and think that they are being cool and all, but you will never see it. It is one of the better things I like about Facebook.

  2. There are a good number of applications I've done that to. The only one I use is the super poke one because I think it's fun and a lot of people have it. I have the Kidnap game too, but I think I'm going to get rid of it.

The only one's I find annoying are the one's you have mentioned and the vampire/zombie/pirate features, and no I don't want a “lil green patch” I would just end up killing it anyway, LOL.
