She’s 34.  Which is the same age that current Iowa Attorney General, Tom Miller was when he beat an incumbent in 1978.  He’s been in office ever since with the exception of 1991-1994 when he was private practice.

He has not stood up for Iowa law, just yesterday The Des Moines Register reported that he isn’t even going to pursue a criminal complaint filed against Planned Parenthood over their telemed abortion scheme.

He didn’t defend Iowa’s Defense of Marriage Act, he unresponsive to complaints by the State Auditor, David Vaudt, that Governor Chet Culver exceeded Iowa’s 99% spending limitation.  His office does not foster transparency.

It’s time for a change, enter Brenna Findley, Drake University and University of Chicago Law School Alum who was previously the chief of staff for Congressman Steve King (R-IA).  Findley has excited the base, and in the last reporting period raised eight times more than Miller who is not used to being challenged.

I had a chance to sit down and talk with Brenna to find out about why she decided to run, how homeschooling impacted her, the Defense of Marriage ruling, 10th Amendment, Obamacare, her priorities, and talked a little about juvenile justice (an area of interest of mine).  You can listen above.
