Melody lives near Fairbanks, AK, and has lived in Alaska for 20 years (which she calls the greatest state, but we can agree to disagree). She’s a “a professional ski instructor, counselor, educator, nurse, food-prep specialist, financial advisor, purchaser, dog-walker, house-cleaner, coach, dishwasher, repair lady, seamstress, landlord, book keeper, and Day-care worker.” Usually they call her mom ![]()
She’s been married for six years to John who is a police and fire officer, they have three children and will start homeschooling with their oldest this Fall. She has been a Christ follower since the age of 13 and grew up in a Christian home. She is actively involved in ministry to soldiers based at Ft. Wainright and is a member of a local independent Baptist church. Melody also blogs (when she gets a chance) at Life in Alaska.
