I am a lover of Jesus and a worshiper first. I find freedom in expressing myself through words and song but recognize that we are called to demonstrate our worship in every area of our lives. So Jesus must come first in my writing, my politics and my recreation. As a result I attempt to remain informed, educated and, yes, full of opinion.
The sunny beaches of Florida are my first home, but I now reside in beautiful, Music City USA with my husband of 13 years and our four amazing children. When not homeschooling, juggling laundry, or playing guitar, I enjoy commenting on current events and capturing humorous slices of life through essay, poetry and song.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Florida and spent six years ministering to college students with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as campus staff. I hope to be back on the college campus someday, but right now I am enjoying my family and this season of my life.
In addition my everyday labors of love, I am a singer/songwriter who writes from my own spiritual journey through prayer and the Word of God. I am currently producing my first collection of songs for CD distribution.
