Incase you didn’t know December 26 is considered St. Stephen’s Day, Stephen, incase you didn’t know, is the first recorded Christian martyr.

You can read about Stephen in Acts 6:1-7:60 here.

I also encourage you to listen to Mark Early’s commentary on St. Stephen’s Day here, and to read John Mark Reynold’s blog post on it here.

Reynolds wrote:

Today, the day after Christmas, the Church wisely decided to celebrate the Feast of the first martyr, Stephen. We are reminded that not everyone was happy about the Good News.

True enough, but it is still definitely news worth sharing even if it costs us personally.
