  1. What do you think about the Matthew 25 Network’s petition?

    Here is part of it:

Therefore, we in the Matthew 25 Network call on Gov. Palin to repudiate her attitude of contempt towards her political opponents and to tell the whole truth, not only for the sake of a more honorable politics, but also for the sake of our Christian witness in the world.

I don’t plan to sign it.. comes across a bit strange to me.

  5. @Kansas Bob – they are nothing but 527 that supports Obama. Regarding Palin – what attitude of contempt? They don’t seem to have a problem with Obama and Biden slamming the opposition. Where is she lying? I don’t think there was anything inappropriate with the jokes she told. When they call on both sides then they can speak with moral authority. They evidently don’t care about the lies told about her in the name of “journalism.”

@SocietyVs – wow, I guess it depends on the fight. In most cases when it is between individuals they should work as peacemakers. We should try to live at peace with all men as Christians.

I think in certain instances there is a clear wrong and a clear right. For instance if someone is attacking my children (not talking about kids there own age, but an adult). I will intervene and take sides. If somebody physically attacks my wife I will. If somebody wrongly maligns my wife’s character what kind of a husband would I be if I don’t come to her defense?

In warfare there are at times clear wrong and right, that doesn’t mean that acts of wrong and right can’t happen on both sides of the conflict though.
