This is a great video put out by Catholic Vote 2008 that was played in numerous Catholic churches.  Very well done.  Before I preached on Sunday I reminded people of the privilege and duty we have in voting, and to vote their conscience.  Anyway, this was a powerful video.

  1. Wow, I haven’t had a video give me goosebumps like that for awhile. Very well done, and is it possible to watch something like that and NOT know how to vote?

  3. I like to make movies, so the quality of this was great. I also loved a lot of the themes. I just wonder sometimes, how right is it to expect the person we vote for to change things? This country was made great because of the people banding together and getting things done. If you look at every great sociological movement, it was a grass roots effort, not the govt. that brought about change. I just hope we all remember it’s not enough to vote for a certain belief or set of beliefs, we must get involved and help bring about the change that we hope for. And now, I’m stepping down off my soapbox! (once I’m off my soapbox I remember that I needed to hear my own message)

  5. I agree. We can’t just stop there. There is much that can be done in the non-political arena with abortion. Crisis pregnancy center, outreach to unwed mothers, maternity homes, adoption, etc.
