The latest with Speaker Pelosi’s little scuffle with the CIA… House Republicans are now saying that Pelosi needs to apologize to the CIA regarding her accusations Fox News reports

House Minority Leader John Boehner told FOX News on Monday that "the ball is in the speaker’s court." If she is accusing the CIA of lying, she "needs to come forward, either present evidence or do an apology, and let’s get this behind us."

"Lying to Congress is a crime. Purposely misleading Congress is a crime. And if the speaker is accusing the intelligence community of lying to her or purposefully misleading her, then she ought to present that evidence, turn it over to the Justice Department, have them prosecute it," Boehner said.

They just can’t let it go, but Boehner is not calling for her ouster as some of his colleagues have done.  A CNN poll is showing only 39% approve of her performance.  I think that is pretty high myself.  The public is pretty well split with 43% saying the CIA may have misled her, and 41% disagreeing which has pushed Allahpundit toward atheism.  While my faith is intact because, heck I live in Iowa, stranger things have happened here.  I do have to wonder if the 43% actually watch the press conference?

This thing is so outrageous that it has Mike Huckabee rhyming.  Michelle Malkin doesn’t seem to be impressed.  Some wonder if President Obama wants Nancy Pelosi to fail perhaps it’s Rahm.  Who knows.

There are some basic questions that can be asked, but somebody can’t handle the truth.  I don’t think it’s the CIA.

Update: I had a friend call me on the picture that I used for Speaker Pelosi.  It wasn’t necessary, and it deliberately put her in a worse light.  I was wrong and I apologize.  If you were offended by that picture I truly am sorry, and if you weren’t I’m sorry that I condoned the view that demeaning people is ok.  So I hope that you can accept my apology.
