This has unfortunately already happened to me.  I guess admitting that I have a problem is the first step to recovery.  “Hi.  My name is Shane, and I sometimes use a bluetooth earpiece while in public places.”

  1. OK, I have to confess, it is one of my pet peeves, the guy who wears the bluetooth in his ear at all times. I was in a meeting once with a pastor and 5 other people (not my pastor). And this Pastor is one that always has his bluetooth in his ear. Right in the middle of the meeting he got a phone call and continued to talk, but to the person.

    I don't know if cell phone etiquette has been written in stone, but we should be sensitive to others.

  2. Well I have to say I never use it when I am talking to somebody. Typically when I have it on is when I'm out running errands, etc. or just sitting at my desk.

    It isn't the norm for me though 🙂
