Latteart 1.  Big Hollywood: Encroaching Government Ensures We’re Not Free by Jeremy D. Boreing

Americans beware. You are not free. Worse, you are being made more and more a slave each day by the very people who tell you incessantly that you are. In fact, the very word itself, FREEDOM, has become your enemy, as it is bandied about proudly and loudly, and distracting you from the encroaching tyranny all around. The word freedom has replaced the substance of freedom that was your birthright, and that is no more. (read the rest)

2.  Legal Insurrection: Another Stupid Police Story by William Jacobson

I guess I owe something of an apology to Huffington Post blogger Martha St. Jean who wrote yesterday about the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr.:

“I believe Gates did what anyone would do, he yelled at the officer, probably called him a few names and maybe told him he was not too smart.”

Confidence in the $787-billion economic stimulus plan proposed by President Obama and passed by Congress in February continues to fall.

And why do we really think this is the best option on the table? (read the rest)

5.  All American Blogger: Why John Edwards Is Responsible for More Unnecessary Operations Than “Greedy Doctors” by Duane Lester

Last night during his national press conference, President Barack Obama maligned doctors as doing unnecessary operations based on greed, not the best interest of the patient. (read the rest)

Oh, and I’d like Obama to try to deal with the snoring I use to do as a cute little girly with tonsils intact, not to mention the risk of sleep apnea. TECHNICALLY it was because of some flavor of allergy– something was making the tonsils irritated and inflamed, after all, and it wasn’t an infection.

Hm, three days of coughing blood and drinking soup, or 80 years of medication to take a chunk off my immune system and battle the allergy, along with even less ability to sleep than I already have… let me pick…..
