Last state twitter. Thank you Alaska! I love you. God bless Alaska. God bless the U.S.A.

I don’t know if she’ll just switch over her current account since she said she’s going to have a personal twitter account or if she’ll start from scratch.  She currently has over 118K followers.

Update VI: Governor Parnell’s Inaugural Speech

Update VII: Top of the Ticket was present in Fairbanks.  Pamela Geller on what an American President should sound like.  Newsbusters – “In honor of American soldiers, quit making things up.”

Update IX (and final): Pictures from ceremony and Adrienne Ross has a recap and a lot of pictures on her blog.

Check out Part I and Part II of coverage from this weekend.

  1. Ummm … liberated? Seriously, Shane, it’s not like she was a prisoner. This is a job she said she wanted, for which she campaigned.

I realize that you’re a much bigger fan of hers than I am. I try to relate the Palin phenomenon to my own view of Dan Quayle. I was a fan of his. That puts me in a group that could probably all meet in my living room, so I can relate to supporting a person who’s not altogether popular.

But to refer to her resignation as liberation seems a bit over the top.

    1. @Wickle, Well let’s see…

If you don’t think her leaving the Governor’s office is liberating then you haven’t been paying attention to the flack she received anytime she left the state.. which was twice. My Governor has been out-of-state way more than that.

      The continual bogus ethics charges.

The way her agenda was paralyzed in the Alaska Legislature. The Democrats seemed perfectly willing to work with her until she became the VP nominee.

Was she a prisoner? No not literally, but figuratively in many ways she was, and that is how I mean it, figuratively.
