I love correction.  Now I need to go repent because I just lied.  When I am confronted, my flesh rises up and I tend to go on the defensive.  Yet correction is what is needed at times.  I need it.  You need it.  Christ-followers must be teachable, and part of being teachable is learning to receive correction.

So when a brother or sister in Christ (or perhaps even an unbeliever) comes to us to point out something in our character that we are lacking or a wrong we have committed – we need to learn to receive it.

Remember what we learn in Proverbs…

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction, (Proverbs 1:7, ESV)

I’ve been a fool many a time, how about you?  Steve Randall shared this video from Joshua Harris, pastor at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD, about loving correction.
