President Barack Obama decided to chide the Supreme Court of the United States over their decision to overturn much of the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance law.  He doesn’t seem to understand the concept of the freedom of speech which ironically even The Des Moines Register gets.  Watch below:

Justice Samuel Alito mouths the words, "not true" in response to President Obama’s criticism.  President Obama keeping it classy.  Criticizing the Supreme Court in their presence during a State of the Union Address is certainly unprecedented.  Maybe we can chalk this up to being another “historical” moment of Obama administration.

  1. Definitely bad form. I could not believe it.

Of course, whenever someone prefaces their statement “with all due respect/deference” you can pretty much expect them to say something that lacks respect/deference.

  2. No wonder Clarence Thomas decided not to attend. We may have had yet another accurate “Joe Wilson” moment.

      1. No reason given by Clarence Thomas as to why he did not attend. I think from time to time you have Justices deciding not to attend a President’s funtion.
