image I obviously have my political disagreements with Michael Kiernan.  I just read the news that yesterday he resigned his position as chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party because of a tumor found under his right ear that requires surgery.

I was saddened to hear that news.

Politics need to get put aside, and I want to encourage all of you to pray with me for Michael Kiernan and entrust him to our Great Physician.

Pray for a speedy recovery, pray for peace for Michael and his wife Erin (who is a news anchor at WHO-TV) and that they receive the confirmation they hope to hear that it isn’t malignant.

  1. Again, thanks for this post – this has got to be a very scary moment for him and his family. A friend who was diagnosed with cancer once talked about how awful it was to think that the years one just assumed one had couldn’t even be dreamed of in the slightest anymore. Hoping this tumor isn’t malignant, and hoping the surgery goes well.
