See update below…
I have to thank Drudge for this because I don’t read People. Levi Johnston told People in an “exclusive” interview published today that:
Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true. I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize…
…So to the Palin family in general and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion. I hope one day to restore your trust.
“Said things about the Palins that were not completely true”… That has to be the understatement of the month.
Well let’s hope this is a sign that he’s growing up a little for his son’s sake. He’s more important than Johnston’s 15 seconds of fame. Here’s hoping this will be my very last post on Levi Johnston. Three is three too many.
Update (7/7/10): I’d rather update than post on this again. Andrew Sullivan the expert on Republican uteruses, smells a conspiracy because he just can’t possibly believe that Johnston lied. This has to be the most unhinged person I’ve ever read… well with the exception of some of the authors of comments I’ve banned.
Mary Katherine Ham lists several reasons why Johnston should never have been considered a reliable source of information… I’m waiting for Vanity Fair and CBS to issue apologies as well, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

It’s a sick joke that this guy is a household name. The only notable thing he’s done in his life is get the teenage daughter of a famous person pregnant.
Something that you and I can wholeheartedly agree on.
That Levi would admit such a thing publicly shows that his new friends in the anti-Palin camp have probably stabbed him in the back, or in some other way showed that they were not his friends. I could just tell that boy was looking for love in all the wrong places. Hopefully, now he will see what is really important and start building relationships that really mean something, not just relationships with people who want to use him for their own purposes.
