See update below…

I have to thank Drudge for this because I don’t read People.  Levi Johnston told People in an “exclusive” interview published today that:

Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true.  I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize…

…So to the Palin family in general and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion.  I hope one day to restore your trust.

Said things about the Palins that were not completely true”… That has to be the understatement of the month.

Well let’s hope this is a sign that he’s growing up a little for his son’s sake.  He’s more important than Johnston’s 15 seconds of fame.  Here’s hoping this will be my very last post on Levi Johnston.  Three is three too many.

Update (7/7/10): I’d rather update than post on this again.  Andrew Sullivan the expert on Republican uteruses, smells a conspiracy because he just can’t possibly believe that Johnston lied.  This has to be the most unhinged person I’ve ever read… well with the exception of some of the authors of comments I’ve banned.

Mary Katherine Ham lists several reasons why Johnston should never have been considered a reliable source of information… I’m waiting for Vanity Fair and CBS to issue apologies as well, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
