(URBANDALE) – Former Gov. Terry Branstad yesterday was named a “Friend of Agriculture” by the Iowa Farm Bureau Political Action Committee.

Branstad welcomed the endorsement.

“Iowa has seen significant advancements in agriculture and I want to keep that momentum going,” said Branstad. “Too often, state government enacts unnecessary and counter-productive roadblocks. I want to work with the agricultural community to ensure we have proven, effective policies in place that allow us to create economic opportunities in every Iowa county.”
