AMES, IOWA – Today, Dave Jamison, current Story County Treasurer and Republican candidate for Iowa State Treasurer received the endorsement of former Speaker of U.S. House Newt Gingrich. 

"As I’ve traveled across Iowa meeting and hearing from hardworking Iowans, one thing is resonating: people are tired of the government’s out of control wasteful spending, not just in Washington, D.C. but right here in Iowa," stated Speaker Gingrich.

Continued Gingrich, "Dave Jamison has made a commitment to put Iowans first again.  Dave has served the citizens of Story County, and will be a great watch dog of the people of Iowa’s money and investment. "It’s time for new leadership in Iowa, time for a next generation of leaders, and Dave Jamison will serve Iowa well".

Dave has been the Story County treasurer since 1995 and lives in Ames with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
