Christine O’Donnell just released the ad below for her campaign to become Delaware’s next U.S. Senator.

It’s sad that she has to open with the statement that "I’m not a witch, I’m nothing you’ve heard."  Unless it is something positive, I’m sure :).  I think this does a great job presenting her as just one of us, which is why she is very popular with people within the Tea Party movement.

Help send Christine to the U.S. Senate, we need more like her!

Update: S.E. Cupp and Kirsten Powers on Fox News agree that this isn’t a good ad mainly because of the statement right at the very beginning, “I’m not a witch.”  Upon further reflection I think the ad would have been better without that, but I think it was sarcasm.  Could be wrong with that.  I do think they bring up some valid points about the ad.  I do think the catch phrase “I’m You” does resonate.  Focus on that and leave the witch business in the past, only liberals who wouldn’t vote for her anyway really believes that.

  1. When is Nancy Pelosi coming out with her ad? If there is anyone that looks like a witch…Oh… It’s not about how she looks? You say it’s about what she does? In that case, Nancy Pelosi needs ads that claim she’s not a bi…

    1. Wow, substantive comment.

I will agree that starting the ad off with “I’m not a witch” wasn’t a good move. I understand why they decided to do it, but it won’t help.

Christine O’Donnell represents mainstream, and with a Democratic Senate pushing liberal policies down our throats (without even reading the bills) our economy is about done.

      1. Let’s see…allegations about mis-spent campaign funds. Lawsuits for non-payment. Federal tax liens. Lying about credentials.

Christine O’Donnell doesn’t represent me. She’s a liar and a cheat and I would never trust someone like her with my money. I could care less if she’s a witch. I’m concerned that she’s incompetent and a moron (evolution is a myth, anyone?).

Liberal (or conservative) policies aside, do you honestly think someone O’Donnell can assist this this country in working itself out of this mess?

      2. Key word allegations… so you are saying that somebody who has had financial trouble/struggles in the past is not qualified for office? How big of you.

And for the record, evolution in macro form is a fairy tail as there is zero proof, which is why it is called a theory not a scientific law.

      3. It’s not the financial trouble, it’s the dishonesty and thievery in Washington. Do we really need more of that?

And I’m so happy to be having the evolution discussion with yet another science fan from the right. Jeez…a theory in the sense that evolution is a theory doesn’t necessarily mean there is lack of certainty. On the contrary, there have been a tremendous amount of data in support of evolutionary theory since Darwin’s time and to assert that because it is not scientific proof makes it a myth (or fairy tale as you put it) indicates a mind that is either closed or underdeveloped. Sorry but that last sentence of yours almost immediately disqualifies you from making statements about science in any way, shape or form.

And explains why you’re such a huge fan of a knucklehead like O’Donnell.
