image OTTUMWA, Iowa – With Election Day less than two weeks away, Republican congressional candidate Mariannette Miller-Meeks is leading Democrat incumbent Dave Loebsack, according to polling data released today.

“David Loebsack’s record of higher taxes, runaway spending and lost jobs is catching up with him,” Miller-Meeks said. “Iowans are angry because he hasn’t represented us; he’s voted with Nancy Pelosi almost 98 percent of the time. Now he’s turning to her high-powered attack machine to distort my pro-jobs, pro-taxpayer record but Iowans are seeing right through it.”

Miller-Meeks’ campaign manager, Tracie Gibler, added, “David Loebsack and Nancy Pelosi are desperate. They’re coming at Mariannette with their fangs bared and they’re not going to stop until Election Day. The fact that they’ve gone negative is proof that Mariannette is not only leading but pulling away as the campaign moves into its final, decisive hours.”
