(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today announced that he will again participate in WHO Radio’s “Call Governor Branstad” show.

“This program is one additional way for my administration to listen to the concerns and suggestions of Iowans,” said Branstad. “Lieutenant Governor Reynolds and I have each committed to visiting all 99 of Iowa’s counties each year, have restored the governor’s weekly news conference, and now we’ll give Iowans the opportunity to call in and talk with me each month.”

The “Call Governor Branstad” show will air the second Tuesday of each month, beginning March 8, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"Governor Branstad was the first Iowa governor to host the "call the governor" series during his first term in office,” said Vice President and General Manager of WHO Radio, Joel McCrea.  “We are delighted that he would agree to restore this program of outreach to Iowans.  WHO Radio is honored to host the governor and his program."

The “Call Governor Branstad” show can be heard live on WHO 1040 AM radio throughout WHO’s listening area. Those who live outside of WHO’s listening area can listen live at www.whoradio.com.
