Congressman Steve King (R-IA) during his Conservative Principles PAC conference said he wanted to make the strategy clear behind defunding Obamacare.

With the continuing resolution, he said that if the House holds it ground and stands up to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and President Barack Obama they can have their way on Obamacare.  They have to shut down the government to keep Obamacare in, and since a recent Rasmussen Poll said 62% of Americans want to see it repealed.  They would have to explain why they would shut the government down for a “temper tantrum” about keeping Obamacare funding in.

He said liberals point to the government shutdown in 1995 where the Legislature lost.  King’s responded by saying, “One data point in history does not an axiom make.”
