imageFormer Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the Tea Party of America event on Saturday which I heard radio ads for on WHO Radio as I was in my car.  I knew this thing was turning out to be a disorganized mess, actually a term from my Army days came to mind (but I’ll keep this blog family friendly), when Christine O’Donnell was invited, disinvited, and reinvited to Saturday’s event.  Now Scott Conroy reports at Real Clear Politics that Sarah Palin’s participation is on hold.

On the heels of ongoing disputes with event organizers, Sarah Palin is rethinking her commitment to participate in Saturday’s Tea Party of America rally in Indianola, Iowa, two sources close to the former Alaska governor told RealClearPolitics.

"It’s on hold," one of the sources said of Palin’s participation. "There are some planning issues regarding the hosts and some concern that the invitation that was proffered is not the event that is now being put together."…

….Sources close to Palin said that the former vice presidential candidate will likely be in the Indianola area on Saturday, whether or not she attends the Tea Party of America rally.

“The primary concern of the governor is the people that are coming to this event,” a source close to Palin said. “The planners are an issue that’s gotten in the way.”

My gut feeling is that she’ll participate, I don’t have anything to base that on other than I’m pretty confident she won’t want to disappoint those who are planning on attending.  It has been reported that she’ll be at the Conservatives 4 Palin meet-up at the Machine Shed in Urbandale on Friday night.  If she does decide to miss the rally on Saturday then I think we can lay the blame squarely at the feet of Tea Party of America President, Ken Crowe, (whom I have never heard of before, I know Charlie Grushow, but not this guy) who seems to not know what he’s doing (I’m being generous).

Update: Radio Iowa reports she will still speak, and Christine O’Donnell has been disinvited, again.
