This is an interesting piece that asks some thoughtful questions, but the problem is that the author seems to be utterly ignorant of a more basic question: We’ve been desecrating the Lord’s Day (Sunday) with sporting events for generations now, so why would anyone give any thought to having sporting events on Christmas?

If we are quite willing to ignore a Holy Day that God established why worry ourselves about ignoring a man-made one?

Do we really need sports on Christmas?
