South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined the Attorneys General of Nebraska and Texas in a letter promising legal action if the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services follows through on its mandate that religious employers who provide insurance for their employees cover contraceptives, sterilization and other like services – regardless of whether or not it compromises their religious tenants.  The Attorneys General called the mandate an impermissible violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment virtually unparalleled in American history.”
