A new group formed of former military special operators and intelligence professionals has organized to combat intelligence leaks by politicians.  They claim to be nonpartisan, but are taking aim at President Obama for leaks surrounding the killing of Osama Bin Laden, among other high-profile intelligence leaks that puts our military at risk.  They released a 22 minute long video entitled “Dishonorable Disclosures” to highlight the Administration’s conduct.

The video description says:

Intelligence and Special Operations forces are furious and frustrated at how President Obama and those in positions of authority have exploited their service for political advantage. Countless leaks, interviews and decisions by the Obama Administration and other government officials have undermined the success of our Intelligence and Special Operations forces and put future missions and personnel at risk

The unwarranted and dangerous public disclosure of Special Forces Operations is so serious — that for the first time ever — former operators have agreed to risk their reputations and go ‘on the record’ in a special documentary titled “Dishonorable Disclosures.” Its goal is to educate America about serious breaches of security and prevent them from ever happening again.

Use of military ranks, titles & photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement of the Dept of the Army or the Department of Defense. All individuals are no longer in active service with any federal agency or military service.

The official name of the group is Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund and it is registered as a 501(c)4 organization.  They provide background information on the group and this issue here.

  1. This is wrong.  I am a veteran and a retired former Government employee (DoD) for 35 years.  That being said, I feel that Obama has every right to say that he “directed” this operation.  The Chief Executive, Commander in Chief, whatever, is the main guy.  If it fails, (like the deal with Jimmy Carter for instance) he would ultimately take the heat.  So, give me a break!  Right wing wacko’s at work here…

    1. I think you missed the larger point – giving away operational security.
Please I would suspect half of those guys interviewed aren’t even registered with a party. Since you’re calling them “right-wing wackos” I know where you stand.

    2. You got all this right but the part about him taking the heat if it went bad.  Then it would be the militarys fault because he has never taken responsibilty for anything in his hollow life. If he was a true commander-in-chief he would not be bringing focus for the success to himself.  Keep this in perspective, he said “go”, and then left the dying to others.
