(AMES) – Rep. Steve King (R-Kiron) today released his campaign’s third television advertisement in the race for Iowa’s new 4th Congressional District. The 30-second advertisement, titled “On the Street,” highlights King’s Iowa straight talk.  You can watch the advertisement above.

Iowa Straight Talk

“The people of Iowa’s 4th Congressional District deserve to know exactly where their candidates stand,” said King. “In three debates, I am the only candidate to directly answer the questions asked by the moderator or panel. Iowans have always known where I stand on the issues facing them, our state and our country.”

The transcript of “On the Street” is as follows:

Graphic on Screen: Like him?

Female Iowan 1: You bet, speaks his mind.

Male Iowan 1: Steve can be direct, but his facts are right. His convictions are right. And he doesn’t just talk, he gets things done.

Female Iowan 1: Running against a lady who weaves and bobs and ducks; doesn’t really want to tell Iowans what she thinks.

Male Iowan 2: Give me that Iowa straight talker any day.

Steve King: I’m Steve King and I approve this message.

The 30-second advertisement will air across the new 4th Congressional District beginning today.
