mike_huckabee_01Des Moines, IA – The Republican Party of Iowa announced former Governor, 2008 Iowa Caucus Winner, Fox News Channel television host, syndicated radio personality and best-selling author Mike Huckabee will serve as guest of honor and keynote speaker at an official Iowa GOP event next month promoting the pro-life cause. The Republican Party of Iowa will host it’s first ever, “Celebrate Life” event on Saturday, February 23 at Point of Grace Church in Waukee. The February event comes as the second of 12 distinct themes being promoted by the Republican Party of Iowa over the next 12 months for it’s “Patriot Club” and donor Package Plan. The theme of February is “Pro-Life and Family Values.”

“The Republican Party of Iowa is proud to announce Mike Huckabee as the keynote speaker at an event helping us to stand up for life, as it is the very first plank in our state Party platform,” said Republican Party Chairman AJ Spiker. “One of my main areas of focus after being re-elected Chairman was to reach out to our grassroots activists and social conservatives across the state. I wanted them to know that as long as I’m blessed with the opportunity to be State Chairman, the Republican Party of Iowa will always be committed to defending the sanctity of human life.”

The event will be held at Point of Grace Church in Waukee and will take place on Saturday, February 23. The event is scheduled to run from 3-6pm. Additional details are to be announced, however tickets to the “Celebrate Life” event can be reserved for only $10 each or $20 per family. Additional receptions and briefings with the Governor will be available for an additional cost.

“The Republican Party of Iowa feels it’s important to open up our events to everyone, and that includes creating a price point that everyone can afford,” said Spiker. “We want everyone, especially young people and families to see a great event at a low cost, and join us for a day dedicated to celebrating the principles of life.
