Truth in American Education just posted over the weekend a map (see below) that lists all of the states that are fighting for retaining constitutionally guaranteed liberty and state sovereignty.  I am disappointed that Iowa is not yet one of the states fighting back against the Common Core State Standards.

I would love to see a bill initiated in the Iowa House.  I don’t really care if it doesn’t have a chance of passing the Iowa Senate (I’m not even confident it would pass the Iowa House, especially since they let SBAC assessments slide through), but would someone at least begin the conversation?  If there is any bold member of the Iowa House that would like to initiate this I have some model legislation to send you.  Contact me.  This should be an issue that Republicans can embrace, but it isn’t really a partisan issue.  I’ve seen both Republicans and Democrats oppose the Common Core.

For those of us who are grassroots… contact your state representative and ask them what would it take to get a bill going.
