imageNow we understand why Congressman Bruce Braley (D-IA) doesn’t do town hall meetings on health care reform.

A NRSC video released today highlights Braley getting ripped by Iowans questioning his U.S. Senate run.

Jennifer Jacobs at The Des Moines Register provides some context:

“You’re not getting anything done,” Monticello Republican Gerald Retzlaff tells Braley during an Aug. 21 roundtable gathering at the Manchester Public Library in Manchester, the video shows. “Just step aside and let somebody else run.”

His wife, La Donna Retzlaff, who is also a Republican, adds: “Yeah, so why are you even running for Senate? Why aren’t you saying, ‘OK, I’m done with politics and let somebody else.’”

.

At an event at the Independence Public Library in Independence on Aug. 21, Republican Rich Zeis, who lives in Walker, expressed displeasure with the federal health care law known as Obamacare. In the video, Zeis says he remembers President Barack Obama saying that if people like their health care plan, they can keep it – but Zeis says his plan is being cancelled because it’s not compatible with the Affordable Care Act. Braley is shown listening and nodding.

Here’s the video:

Apparently the NRSC “Wrong Team Braley” initiative is getting under his skin as well.  He said it was paid by the Koch Brothers (the favorite liberal bogeymen), but that is inaccurate.
