(Des Moines, IA)  The Republican Party of Iowa, in partnership with the Republican National Committee, is pleased to announce the hiring of Chad Olsen, who will serve as RNC State Director in Iowa.

In this position, Chad will oversee get-out-the-vote operations throughout the state and implement a person-to-person grassroots organizing program. Under the RNC’s new model, the ground game will be built from the bottom-up, with staff and volunteers focused on communicating and engaging with voters at the precinct level.

“We’re pleased welcome Chad back to the team and his expertise will be invaluable as we work toward victories in 2014,” said Republican Party of Iowa Chairman A.J. Spiker.  “We’re rethinking how we build our field operation and Chad is a perfect fit to build our new bottom up, precinct level focused field organization.”

“Heading into 2014 the RNC is on the ground organizing in neighborhoods across the country earlier than we’ve ever been before,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “We’re building an long term operation in Iowa that will not only help us win elections in 2014 but also in 2016 and beyond.”

Chad Olsen is the former executive director of the Republican Party of Iowa and also served as the RNC victory director in 2010.  Most recently, Chad served as Deputy Secretary of State.
