Lee-Terry(Watchdog.org) Don’t tell Washington Democrats who are targeting Lee Terry and a couple dozen other House Republicans that Obamacare isn’t working.

Despite polls highly critical of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, a new online video ad claims that if some GOP plans to repeal the health care law succeed insurance companies will be allowed to do what they want: drop coverage, deny care and raise costs to millions of Americans.

While none of the eight people featured in the ad entitled “Faces of Repeal” are from Nebraska all tout Obamacare as a medical life saver.

Bill from Minneapolis: “With pre-existing conditions I would pay as much as $555 a month as opposed to $48 a month with the Affordable Care Act.”

According to a Democratic Party spokesman the ad, entitled “Faces of Repeal,” is running in 44 congressional districts, many of those where the GOP incumbent is considered highly vulnerable in 2014.

A Terry spokesman said the ad is running uphill.

“The faces that Congressman Terry has seen are the hundreds of constituents who have called us to say that they’ve lost their health insurance due to the President’s health care law,” says Larry Farnsworth.

“The President sold his health care law by saying if you liked your plan you can keep it, and there is a reason why PolitiFact made that claim the lie of the year.”

Earlier this month a CBS News-New York Times poll found a far different attitude across the country, even from those who are still without insurance.

Among insured Americans 15 percent said the health care law will help them, while 32 percent said it will hurt them. Almost 50 percent said it will have no effect.

Among the uninsured, 33 percent believe the new law will help them, 37 percent think it will hurt and 27 percent expect no effect.
