Sam Clovis, candidate for the U.S. Senate, hit the ground running today with his sights on the June primary.  “I am the candidate who has the strongest conservative message and can articulate that message to the voters of Iowa.”

Clovis is running for the open U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Tom Harkin.  Sen. Harkin announced he will be retiring at the end of this Congressional session.

“Bruce Braley and his fellow Democrats are a rubber stamp for President Obama,” said Clovis.  “The IRS abuses, Obamacare and Obama’s Executive Orders are all unconstitutional and this needs to stop.  This Administration is good at mandating for others what they will not do for themselves.  It is time for a grassroots revolution.  Iowa voters can turn D.C. around.  What Braley and Obama are doing is fundamentally immoral and it needs to be stopped.  We need to hold them accountable for their actions.”

Clovis continued by saying that Iowa is at the center of national politics, and Iowans must ask the question ‘where do we want to go’?  “My campaign offers courage, hope and opportunity.  We, the people, need to create a sense of urgency and hold those accountable who are attacking our Constitutional foundation.  I am the candidate who has a rock solid foundation on the issues and I will deliver on my promises to Iowans – not the special interests of the Beltway.”

Sam Clovis holds a Masters in Business Administration in Management and a Doctorate in Public Administration.  He is currently a tenured full professor at a private liberal arts college in northwest Iowa.  He served in the United States Air Force for 25 years and still provides leadership to defense and homeland security institutions.  He lives in Hinton, IA with his wife Charlotte and stepson Khan.  More information on the candidate and his campaign may be obtained at www.samclovis.com.

  1. This is a really confusing release. Clovis hit the ground running today? As opposed to the past few months when he’s just been lolly gagging around?

Every single executive order by the President has been unconstitutional? Come on. For someone with a Doctorate in Public Administration that’s a pretty ignorant statement.

This sounds to me like “Hey! Pay attention to me! Yoo hoo! No no no, don’t look at the FEC filings! Look over here!”

    1. Not confusing to me. Have stayed out of this, not even offering to be many of the numerous county captains for Sam Clovis. But, we have to be smart here. Did you hear Dr. Clovis mentioned by Doc Thompson on Glenn Beck radio on Tuesday, Feb. 18th? He was talked about right along with Eric Cantor’s opponent.
      Confusing, heck no!
