(Des Moines, IA) “Today, while my wife proudly serves her state and nation in uniform, I am honored to submit these ballot access petitions on her behalf – the next step in making sure that my wife – a mother, soldier, and proven conservative – Joni Ernst becomes Iowa’s next U.S. Senator. On behalf of Joni and the Ernst family, I want to sincerely thank every Iowa Republican who took the time to add their name to our ballots,” said Joni’s husband, Gail Ernst, upon submitting Joni’s nomination papers to the Secretary of State.
