(Washington, DC) Today, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is continuing to expose Bruce Braley’s devastating and insulting comments, belittling Iowa farmers with a new robocall campaign targeting 305,000 households. The calls will target all voters regardless of party affiliation or vote history, who either live in rural counties or have a farm occupation or have been identified as being interested in farm issues.

The call encourages Iowans to tell Bruce Braley to “stop insulting Iowa farmers and that a law degree doesn’t equal success.”

Earlier this week, Bruce Braley was caught on camera attacking highly respected Senator Chuck Grassley for being a “farmer from Iowa who never went to law school.”

Yet approximately 90% the entire land area in Iowa is farmland. There are more than 90,000 farms in the state that employ nearly 350,000 Iowans according to Iowa State University.

Bruce Braley’s outrageously offensive and out of touch attack on Iowa farmers is just a glimpse into what both Braley and his Democratic allies in Washington intended to hide from voters in Iowa. Stay tuned as more unfolds about this political creation of the trial lawyer lobby.

Hi, this is ____ calling on behalf of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Senate Candidate Bruce Braley got caught attacking Iowa Farmers on a hidden camera at a Texas fundraiser. Listen to the recording. “If you help me win this race you may have someone with your background, your experience, your voice, someone who’s been literally fighting tort reform for thirty years, in a visible and public way, on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Or, you might have a farmer from Iowa who never went to law school, never practiced law, serving as the next Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Because, if Democrats lose the majority, Chuck Grassley will be the next Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.”
