(Des Moines, IA) Today, Iowa’s Secretary of State and Republican candidate for Congress announced that former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate, Rick Santorum, will return to Iowa on March 26 to campaign for Schultz in his race to win Iowa’s Third Congressional District.

“The race to replace Congressman Latham is one of the most closely watched in the country and Matt Schultz is exactly the type of leader we need to not just hold the seat for conservatives, but make a real difference in Washington,” said Santorum. “As Secretary of State, Matt Schultz has led the fight for voter integrity. I have no doubt that Matt will bring this same bold conservative leadership to Congress on issues like fiscal responsibility, job creation, and strengthening the family. I’m excited to be coming back to Iowa to lend a hand to a great friend of mine who is running to represent Iowa in Congress.”

Santorum, who visited all Iowa’s 99 counties while campaigning for president in 2012, will headline an event in Waukee on the 26th. Detailed information to follow in coming weeks.
