(Des Moines, Iowa) Iowa Right to Life learned today that another Des Moines metro location has STOPPED selling webcam abortions!  The Susan Knapp Planned Parenthood of the Heartland no longer offers them at their clinic.  They are now an “abortion referral” location.  This marks the 2nd metro Planned Parenthood in recent weeks to stop offering webcam abortions.  A dozen clinics throughout Iowa have closed in the past two years, including those in Red Oak and Creston, scheduled to close next week.

“This store-front location has always been extremely troubling”, stated Jenifer Bowen, Executive Director of Iowa Right to Life.  “Located just across the street from Drake University, we know that Planned Parenthood preyed on vulnerable college students, offering them a “quick fix” with dangerous webcam abortions.”

“We have webcam abortions in Iowa because Jill June and Planned Parenthood got greedy and wanted to make as much money off of abortion with as little involvement as possible.  Now they are getting burned for it — Planned Parenthoods are closing left and right, because women who have had these so-called medication abortions are telling others how long it takes and how painful they are and Planned Parenthood’s own employees are bailing, because they never wanted direct involvement in the abortion industry,” concluded Bowen.
