blueRemember the name Jeffrey D. King.  He is a homeschooling graduate who is in his early 20s, and he just made his second documentary.  Brian and I had the chance to interview King for our radio program last weekend, and he was in town last night for a screening of his new documentary BLUE at the Copper Creek Theaters in Pleasant Hill.

The documentary’s website states, “One of the most prominent ideas of our time today is the Green Movement, which says that the Earth is threatened by the activity, even the existence, of mankind, and that the noble response is to restrict our freedom in order to save the planet. The movie BLUE challenges that idea.”

Those who view this movie will come away with the knowledge that the green agenda is harming, not helping our environment.  Case in point, with the spotted owl, the federal government has severely restricted logging in various areas of the bird’s known habitat.  Owls are still dying mainly because of their inability to hunt due to overgrowth in these wooded areas which hinders owls from flying to the forest floor to catch their prey.

Also we hear much talk about how carbon is bad for our environment, but the simple fact is the increase of carbon can’t adequately be linked to the warming period we are currently in.  Also, the increase of carbon has been good for the environment as we have seen a 15% increase in vegetation growth worldwide as a result.  Carbon is food for plants.

Also in his interview with Robert Zurbin we learn that the more populous we are the more prosperous we become.

In this short documentary we see one rebuttal after another challenging environmentalist claims.

Another victim of the green agenda local economies, especially communities in the Pacific Northwest that have been decimated due to logging regulations.  One ecologist he interviewed put it as “protecting ourselves to death.”

At the end King provides a new vision for environmental stewardship that I believe will resonate with conservative Christians who desire freedom in the word BLUE (Beautify, Liberate, Utilize, and Enjoy).

I highly recommend this movie.
