Project Vigil is a personal remembrance project dedicated to the memory of American soldiers buried in the Normandy American Cemetary and Memorial.  It was started by an 11-year-old boy who wanted to put a face and a story to the names of the crosses.  During the week of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, this boy stood vigil at their graves, and in the cold, rain, and burning June sun, he taught hundreds of visitors about them.

On June 6th, 2014 he wanted to say thank you to the soldiers who fought and died on Omaha beach on D-Day morning 70 years earlier.  This is how he did it.  What an amazing kid.
