(Urbandale, Iowa) – Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds today announced New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be the special guest to headline Gov. Branstad’s Birthday Bash fundraiser. The event will take place on October 25, 2014 at 5:30 p.m., at the Seven Flags Events Center in Clive, Iowa.

“I am very pleased to welcome Gov. Christie back to Iowa for this year’s Birthday Bash,” said Gov. Branstad. “He has provided unmatched leadership at the Republican Governors Association, which includes record breaking fundraising during his tenure, and we are thankful for his continued efforts to help elect Republican governors across the country. I am looking forward to a fun night with friends and family.”

Additionally, the Branstad-Reynolds campaign announced Rose Mitchell will serve as chair of the Birthday Bash.

“I am honored to chair this momentous event for Governor Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Reynolds,” said Rose Mitchell. “This will be a fun event for everyone involved as we celebrate a truly Iowan tradition.”

The annual Birthday Bash will feature live music, speeches, dinner and birthday cake. Tickets for the event start at $65 each and are on sale now at www.BranstadReynolds.com.
