Lewis once said, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”  Just as the sun illuminates everything around us we should see our world through the lens of our faith in Jesus.  Far too many of our friends and neighbors see the Christian faith through the lens of culture.  That is completely backwards and is done to rationalize sinful behavior or an empty philosophy. Our understanding of the world and culture should come from the Bible instead of allowing our understanding of the Bible to come from the world.  The Bible, not our culture, is to be a light for our path and lamp unto our feet.
